Junior Long Metrics - CANCELLED |
|
This competition has regrettably been cancelled owing to few entries. As you may know this year we are putting on two FITA shoots. As mentioned in our previous news item, a UK Record status Metric shoot exclusively for Junior archers on Saturday 29 May (half day shoot) and a World Record status FITA on the Sunday 30 May (any juniors wishing to dhoot the world record status FITA will be shooting as an adult). We have now added the UK Record Status Long Metrics entry and Info sheets to our tournament section for download along with the World Record status FITA.
As normal, We need volunteers to help us with the set up on the Saturday morning through to the take down on the Sunday evening. It would be really beneficial if you could give your time generously, as we expect to have some world class archers shooting this year and we'd like to give them a good impression of our club. |

This year we are putting on two FITA shoots. A UK Record status Metric shoot exclusively for Junior archers on Saturday 29 May (half day shoot) and a World Record status FITA on the Sunday 30 May. We will have the entry forms out to the general archery community so watch out for them, as space is at a premium! Any juniors wishing to shoot the Sunday event will be competing as adults at the full distances.

Phil and Michelle Lightwood-Jones are prepared to organise a spring / early summer field archery shoot with barbeque at Canada Lakes with one of Wales's top field archers available for guidance and coaching. General theme will be a morning shoot, midday lunch barbeque and an afternoon shoot. Bows can be hired for a small charge or you can use your own. Cost will be dependent on numbers - if you are interested (in principle) please put your name on the list on the club notice board or speak to Phil or Michelle.
There has been little interest expressed so we won't take this forward |

We are going to try out a new way of informing you of who is available to coach during shooting sessions. We will have a white board where qualified coaches that are available during the session can write there name if they are available for coaching. If you would like any coaching you can look at the board and ask the coach(s) that have added their names, if there is a coach present but they haven't added there names then that would mean that they are concentrating on their shooting for this session. |
